The Southwest Division’s Military & Veterans Community participated in a Memorial Day 5K to honor those who died in service to the nation.

Twenty-six Martin Marietta teammates and family members braved the early dawn heat on June 4 to log some miles during the 15th annual Wounded Warrior Military Miles 5K in Keller, Texas.

The event benefited three charities: the Fisher House Foundation, which builds comfortable homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge while caring for hospitalized loved ones; Team Red White & Blue, which focuses on mental and physical well-being while providing resources to help veterans build a healthier lifestyle; and the Wounded Warrior Project, which offers a variety of programs and services for injured veterans who incurred injuries during their military service.
