Team members from the San Diego office have been making a meaningful impact in their community by volunteering monthly with Feeding San Diego, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting individuals facing hunger with nutritious food. Volunteers participated in two-hour evening sessions from June through November, sorting and cleaning food that would otherwise go to waste.

During the group’s most recent meeting, the team took its support a step further by hosting a food packing event in the office. With approval to purchase supplies for more than 100 “Meals Made Easy” kits, employees came together after hours to assemble the kits, which were distributed to families in need across the region.

“Feeding San Diego’s mission is to connect every individual facing hunger with healthy, nutritious food. They also rescue edible, high-quality food that would otherwise go to a landfill,” said HR Manager Tricia Reedy. “It’s nice to know that we are able to do our part to help those in our community and that the food isn’t being wasted.”

This initiative reflects the San Diego team’s ongoing commitment to community service and sustainability. The efforts supported local families, reduced food waste and promoted responsible resource use.

Similarly, Martin Marietta team members in Pho

enix rallied to collect 360 pounds of food for families and individuals served by the local St. Vincent de Paul Church.

The church’s volunteer event, which aimed to help feed, clothe, house and heal low-income families in the area, thanked those who donated.

“Without your compassion and dedication to help others, our mission wouldn’t be possible,” a church representative said.
