Martin Marietta leads NSSGA Awards for 2nd consecutive year

Martin Marietta earned 65 National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Awards this year, leading all member companies in total awards for the second year in a row. The NSSGA announced the feat in late September during its annual Legislative and Policy Forum in Washington, D.C. Recognized in the organization’s awards program are those operations that have earned platinum, gold, silver or bronze status for excellence in the areas of community relations, environmental performance and safety. 

In a statement provided to The Conveyor, NSSGA President and CEO Michael Johnson congratulated all of Martin Marietta’s winners. “This accomplishment is outstanding and a true testament to the hard work of the Martin Marietta team, as it is the largest number of total awards won by a member company in 2021,” Johnson said. “We are proud of all of our members for continuing to be leaders in these critically important fields, despite the unconventional year they experienced, as success in these areas is the key to our aggregates industry’s longevity.” 

This year’s awards come on the heels of an incredibly successful 2020 campaign during which the company led all NSSGA member companies with 71 awards. This year’s winners include:
